A Musical Matter (First animation)

Well, today I finally finished my first animation video.. or story.. or movie – however you like
”A Musical Matter” – a small video featuring Gibs the guitar and Vally the violin. The point of the animation was a project on the subject of dreams, a task I was given as a part of my animation studies.

Recently I decided I wanna study anime, and as far as I was told, me and my class people are really going to scratch the subject, but only in the second semester, hope I can wait

There’s still a long way for me to go and if I truly wish to become good (if that’s a word) then I have to keep doing it! It’s like they say, “the secret is: there is no secret”. So I hope I will get better at making animated stories over time but for now you guys are welcome to check out my first animation and comment your mind below…

Gibs and Vally meet each other… It’s all about the communication, or should I say the music…

Gibs’s sketches (Using Corel Painter 11 & my Wacom Intuos4 too )
Gibs is a Gibson guitar with an ego as long as his neck. He travels alone…

And that’s Vally, she is a shy girl.
Vally is a friendly type and she’s curious for stuff.

Little technical info:
For the sketches Corel Painter was used.
Animation and tracing was done with a regular light table, traced and painted in TVPaint Pro.
After that edited with Adobe After Effects and Premiere (On my workstation of course).
And after all that, guess what… Uploaded to YouTube.
